What Is a Birth Doula?
A birth doula is a trained support person who’s there to make your pregnancy and birth experience feel calmer, more confident and more connected. I provide emotional encouragement, hands-on comfort techniques with clear, evidence-based information to help you make the choices that feel right for you.
I’m not a medical provider — I’m your steady presence through the big moments, helping you (and your partner) feel supported, informed and cared for every step of the way.
How is A Doula Different to a Birth Partner?
A doula doesn’t replace your birth partner — we work with them. Your partner knows you best and I bring experience and knowledge about birth. Together, we make a great team.
While your partner offers love and emotional connection, I provide guidance, comfort techniques and help you both navigate each stage of labour with confidence. I can suggest positions, offer massage or relaxation tools and make sure your partner feels supported too.
In short: your partner brings the heart and I bring the know-how — so you both feel calm, capable and connected.

What Is a Postpartum Doula?
My support doesn’t end when your baby arrives, in many ways, that’s when you need it most. As a postpartum doula, I’m here to help you settle into life with your new baby, offering practical help, emotional support and gentle guidance as you recover and adjust.
Every family’s needs are different, so my care is completely personalised. Whether that means helping with newborn care, supporting feeding (breast or bottle), giving you time to rest or just being a calm, reassuring presence, I’m here to make those early days a little easier and a lot more supported.
You don’t have to do it all on your own — I’ll walk beside you as you find your rhythm and confidence as a new parent.
